our Theory of Change

Imperial Junior School’s education is life-changing for our students.

In the short term, it helps improve school attendance, health, and academic results. In the long term, it increases students’ chances to access high-quality secondary education, improves their families’ financial situations, and develops their skills in soccer, entrepreneurship, and computer science.
Our Theory of Change shows how our education impacts students, alumni, families, and the wider community.

Problems we are solving

Children in Sembabule District, Uganda, face serious challenges, including high poverty rates, limited access to quality education, and a lack of technology. About 60% of school-going children drop out of school at both primary and secondary levels, with only 35% completing their education. Many schools lack proper infrastructure, leading to overcrowded classrooms that make learning difficult. Additionally, there are few opportunities and resources for developing soccer talent, limiting students' potential in sports.
